Reservations

  • Advance reservations

    Internet reservations are accepted from about 1 year in advance. There are no limitations on advance reservations by phone, so feel free to inquire if you have a large group, etc.

  • Check-in and check-out

    Normal check-in time for an overnight stay is 3:00 p.m., and check-out is 10:00 a.m. For the Reception Floor Satori, check-in is 2:00 p.m., and check-out 11:00 a.m. In other cases, please confirm as times may vary depending on the stay plan.

  • Accommodation capacity

    Capacity is 183 guests (24 Japanese rooms, 4 hybrid-style rooms, 2 guest rooms with open-air baths, one VIP room, and 5 other Japanese rooms). Maximum banquet hall capacity is approx. 200 guests. (187 tatami mats)

  • Cancellation fees

    Cancellation fees are charged in accordance with the terms of accommodation. Fees vary depending on the number of persons in the reservation and the cancellation date.

  • Fees for children

    Fees are set for small children and elementary school students. Junior high school students and older are charged at the adult rate.

  • Daytime use incidental to overnight stay

    Guestrooms can be used for a fee 70% of that for an overnight stay.

  • Daytrips

    Various stay plans are available for enjoying daytrip bathing and dining. Use times are from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner dining is also available at times such as weekday evenings, so please inquire by telephone.

  • Admission of pets

    Pets other than service dogs are not allowed into the inn.Please make other suitable arrangements for pet accommodation.

Rooms

  • Room size and facilities

    Aside from Japanese rooms (8-, 10-, 12-, 14-, 16-mat), various other rooms are available such as hybrid-style rooms, guestrooms with open-air baths, and a VIP room. All rooms are equipped with toilet facilities. There are 11 rooms with a unit bath, and two rooms with an open-air bath. Most rooms are not equipped with a unit bath because we want visitors to enjoy the wonderful properties of our hot spring.

  • Room amenities

    Amenities include: yukata robes, towels, bath towels, toothbrush set, razor, comb, hairdryer, shower cap, slippers, television, telephone, air conditioner, refrigerator, safe, hot water pot, tea set, and sewing set.

  • Non-smoking rooms

    We have no dedicated non-smoking rooms. For customers desiring a smoke-free room, we provide deodorization using an ozone deodorizer. Air purifiers are also available, so feel free to inquire.

  • Room assignment

    Finalization of room assignments takes place about 10 days before the date of use. In some cases, it may be impossible to designate conditions such as view from the room depending on the room type contracted by the travel company, the room type on the Internet, number of guests, rates, and other factors. When applying for multiple rooms of the same type, we will assign rooms next to or as close as possible to each other.

Facilities/Services

  • Dinner (5:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.)

    Depending on group size and conditions, you can dine at our Japanese restaurant "Tsuki Akari" or enjoy seasonal Japanese cuisine in a private banquet room. Guests staying on the Reception Floor Satori also have the option of eating meals in their rooms.

  • Breakfast (7:30 a.m.–9:30 a.m.)

    In the breakfast hall, there is a breakfast buffet featuring about 40 different Japanese and Western dishes. Depending on operating circumstances, this may be changed to a half-buffet in the Japanese restaurant "Tsuki Akari."

  • Large baths, reserved open-air baths

    On the uppermost 5th floor, there is a large outlook bath and an open-air outlook bath with beautiful views. In addition, there are also two reserved open-air baths on the 5th floor (¥2,000 for 50 mins., tax not included). Bathing time is from check-in to 12:00 midnight, and from 4:30 a.m. the following morning until check-out. The men's and women's large baths are switched every morning.

  • Hot spring

    Over the years, our many guests have been enticed by the superior quality of the Sakihana Onsen hot spring. At our inn, the hot spring is supplied free-flowing from the source to our large baths and reserved open-air baths. Experience the skin-beautifying effects of the sparkling emerald green waters of this weak alkaline (pH 7.8) sulfur spring.

  • Facilities/other services

    We offer baggage checking, room service, courtesy transportation, parcel service, shop, conference room, coffee lounge, karaoke lounge, British reflexology salon, wheelchair-accessible toilets, and wireless LAN (lobby and banquet hall). We can also arrange massages, taxis, substitute drivers, trips on the Agano River Line Boat Ride, flowers, cakes, and banquet companions.

Surrounding Area

  • Agano River Line Boat Ride

    Boats depart every hour between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. from the Agano Sato Roadside Station. If desired, you can also disembark at Sakihana Pier on the Sakihana Onsen side (below the embankment at the inn). (Fare: Adults ¥2,000; Children ¥1,000; 40 mins.)

  • Steam Locomotive "Banetsu Monogatari"

    This steam locomotive makes one round trip every Saturday, Sunday, and holiday from April to autumn every year. It is bustling with passengers of all ages during three-day holidays and the summer vacation.

  • Sakihana Onsen Water Fireworks Display

    Held every year on the third Friday in June. The schedule around this date is very crowded, so we recommend making reservations early.

  • Sakihana Kinase-Tei Riverside

    Enjoy a meal or relaxing break on a raised platform near the river bank in Sakihana Onsen Park. Please contact us for details regarding available seasons and times.

  • Convenience stores, restaurants

    There are no convenience stores, restaurants, or bars in the immediate Sakihana Onsen area. The nearest convenience store is 10 minutes by car across the Agano River. Restaurants are located 15 minutes away by car in the main downtown area. Please note that soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and cigarettes are available in the shop and vending machines on the inn premises.

  • Nearest train station and expressway interchanges

    Sakihana Station on the Banetsu West Line is the nearest train station. It is only a 5-minute walk from the inn, but we provide a courtesy pick-up service. For guests arriving by car, we are conveniently located 12 minutes from the Yasuda Interchange (coming from Niigata) on the Ban-etsu Expressway or 25 minutes from the Mikawa Interchange (coming from Fukushima).

  • Time required to reach sightseeing facilities (using ordinary roads)

    10 minutes by car to Agano Sato Roadside Station and Agano River Line Boat Ride; 15 minutes by car to Yasuda Yogurt Shop and Factory Tour; 12 minutes by car to Suntopia World; 10 minutes by car (end of March) to Mizubasho Park (Go-ya district); 15 minutes by car to Muramatsu Park.
